Today, Ford announced it is reducing pricing across all Ford F-150 Lightning pickup truck trims by up to $10,000. In its press release, the company said it is taking advantage of improved raw material costs for the battery and increased plant capacity. This brings the MSRP of the pickup truck closer to the initial price that was announced during the unveiling.
Currently, Ford’s Michigan plan is undergoing final plant upgrades. Once completed, it is expected to triple the annual production rate of the Ford F-150 Lightning. The company is expected to significantly improve the availability of built-to-order trucks by October.
